## Biography

Eolo Capritti (2 November 1918 – 15 September 2007) was an Italian actor and production manager. He made his screen debut in 1948 as an uncredited Carabiniere in Vittorio De Sica’s *Bicycle Thieves*. He subsequently worked in film production as a secretary, inspector and production manager.

Capritti appeared in numerous films, often in small character roles as a tough or authoritative figure, frequently using the pseudonym Al Capri. Notable credits include a fascist official in Tinto Brass’s *The Key* (1983), a part in Federico Fellini’s *Ginger and Fred* (1986) and supporting roles in films by Carlo Verdone such as *Fun Is Beautiful* (1980), *Bianco, rosso e Verdone* (1981) and *Troppo forte* (1986). He also worked in television.
