Eric Alan Edwards is an American cinematographer. He was born on 10 August 1953 in Portland, Oregon, and graduated with a B.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1975.

Edwards has worked on numerous feature films, often in collaboration with director Gus Van Sant. His credits include *Mala Noche* (1985), *Drugstore Cowboy* (1989), *My Own Private Idaho* (1991, shared cinematography credit with John J. Campbell), *Even Cowgirls Get the Blues* (1993), *To Die For* (1995) and *Cop Land* (1997). Later projects encompass comedies such as *The Break-Up* (2006), *Knocked Up* (2007), *The Change-Up* (2011) and *Dirty Grandpa* (2016), as well as *The Hollars* (2016).

He received a Student Academy Award in 1984 for *American Taboo* and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Cinematography for *My Own Private Idaho*.
