## Biography

Éric Heumann is a French film producer and director. He began his career at MK2 before founding the production company Paradis Films in 1984, of which he remains co-manager. In 1986 he co-founded the distribution company Bac Films with Jean Labadie and Stéphane Sorlat, and in the late 1990s he founded Océan Films.

He has produced or co-produced films including *Landscape in the Mist* (1988), *Indochine* (1992), *Eternity and a Day* (1998), *Millennium Mambo* (2001), *2046* (2004) and *The Princess of Montpensier* (2010). Heumann has also directed features such as *Port Djema* (1997), for which he received a Silver Bear for Best Director.
