## Biography

Eric Tuchman is an American screenwriter and television producer. He holds a BA from Brandeis University and an MFA from Columbia University, and grew up in Seaford, New York.

He wrote the animation adaptation for the 1997 film *Anastasia* and has contributed as a writer and executive producer on the series *The Handmaid's Tale* (2017–2025). Tuchman served as showrunner on *Kyle XY* (2006–2009) and has written episodes of series including *Eureka*, *Alphas*, *Beauty and the Beast* and *Stitchers*.

For his work on *The Handmaid's Tale*, Tuchman shared a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2017, along with a Producers Guild of America Award and two Writers Guild of America Awards. He received an Annie Award nomination for *Anastasia*.
