## Biography

Erich Kollmar was a German cinematographer. He worked as cameraman on John Cassavetes' independent film *Shadows* (1959), one of the few crew members with prior film experience.

Kollmar also served as camera operator on *Blast of Silence* (1961) and as cinematographer on *Below the Hill* (1963) and episodes of the German television series *V.I.P.-Schaukel* (1972–1974). He died on 10 December 2016 at the age of 91.
