## Biography

Erik J. Meijer (also credited as Erik Johannes Meijer) was a Dutch actor and puppeteer. He trained in London and appeared in numerous Dutch television productions and films from the 1970s onwards.

He is known for his role as the second husband in Paul Verhoeven's *De vierde man* (1983; released in English as *The 4th Man*). Meijer also performed as the puppeteer and voice of Pino in the Dutch version of *Sesamstraat* from 1979 to 1984, and had recurring or guest roles in series including *Medisch Centrum West* (1988–1989) and *Thomas en Senior* (1985).

In later years he produced corporate films.
