## Biography

Erik Smitt is a lighting artist and director of photography who worked at Pixar Animation Studios. He began his career in the lighting department on *Monsters, Inc.* (2001) and contributed to numerous subsequent films in roles including lighting artist, lighting lead and master lighting artist.

His credits include master lighting artist on *The Incredibles* (2004), *Toy Story 3* (2010) and *Brave* (2012). He served as director of photography for lighting on the short *Piper* (2016) and on *Incredibles 2* (2018), and later worked as creative producer on projects including *Blush* (2021).
