## Biography

Erika Green Swafford is an American television writer and producer. She began her writing career on the CBS series *The Mentalist* (2008), where she worked for six seasons as a staff writer, story editor, executive story editor, co-producer and producer, contributing to numerous episodes.

She subsequently joined ABC’s *How to Get Away with Murder* (2014) as a writer and supervising producer, later becoming co-executive producer. Her work on the series earned her an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series. She has also written for *Reverie* (2018) and *New Amsterdam* (2018), serving as consulting and executive producer on the latter.

Swafford holds a degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management. Prior to writing, she worked in production and acquisitions at the Oxygen network and participated in the Warner Bros. Television Writers’ Workshop.
