## Biography

Erin Casper is a documentary film editor and writer. She graduated from the University of Iowa with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Art. After moving to New York, she began working in post-production on documentaries and was mentored by editor Jonathan Oppenheim.

Casper edited and co-wrote *Fire of Love* (2022), which won the Sundance Jonathan Oppenheim Editing Award and an American Cinema Editors Eddie Award. Her other editing credits include *Becoming* (2020), *Risk* (2016) and *American Promise* (2013), for which she received a News & Documentary Emmy nomination. She has also written for several documentary projects.

She has served as an editing advisor for the Sundance Institute and other labs, and is a board member of the Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellowship.
