Erwin Blask was a German track and field athlete who specialised in the hammer throw. He won the silver medal at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin and repeated the achievement at the 1938 European Athletics Championships in Paris. In 1938 he set a world record of 59.00 metres.

Blask appears uncredited as Self - Hammer Throw, Germany in the documentary *Olympia Part One: Festival of the Nations* (1938), directed by Leni Riefenstahl, which includes footage of his Olympic performance. Born on 20 March 1910 in Friedrichsheyde, East Prussia, he later worked in law enforcement and sports administration, and died on 6 February 1999 in Frankfurt.
