Erwin S. Gelsey (1900–1988) was an American screenwriter. He contributed screenplays and stories to numerous Hollywood films, primarily in the 1930s and 1940s.

His credits include the screenplay for *Gold Diggers of 1933* (1933), *Flying Down to Rio* (1933), the story for *Swing Time* (1936) and *Cover Girl* (1944), and the screenplay for *Jewel Robbery* (1932). He also worked on *The Big Broadcast of 1937* and other productions.
