Étienne Comar is a French film producer, screenwriter and director. Born on 25 January 1965 in Paris, he graduated from La Fémis in 1992 and began working in production at Erato Films.

He founded the production companies Playtime (1996–2003) and Vendôme Production (2004–2010), later establishing Arches Films. Comar produced *Of Gods and Men* (2010) and *Timbuktu* (2014), both of which won the César Award for Best Film. He also wrote screenplays for several films, including *Haute Cuisine* (2012) and *My King* (2015).

His directorial debut, *Django* (2017), which he also wrote and co-produced, opened the 67th Berlin International Film Festival in competition.
