## Biography

Eugène Roman is a production designer and art director. He began in assistant roles, including assistant decorator on *Mon Oncle* (1958) and assistant art director on *Purple Noon* (1960).

Roman served as production designer on Jacques Tati’s *PlayTime* (1967), designing the large-scale Tativille set built near Paris. He later worked as art director on *The Christmas Tree* (1969) and as production designer on *Cold Sweat* (1970).
