## Biography

Evans Evans (born Evans White Greenstreet; 26 November 1932 – 16 June 2024) was an American actress. She studied at Randolph-Macon Women's College and Yale Drama School, and appeared on Broadway in the late 1950s, including in *The Dark at the Top of the Stairs* (1957).

She is best known for her role as Velma Davis in the 1967 film *Bonnie and Clyde*. Other credits include *All Fall Down* (1962), *The Iceman Cometh* (1973), *Prophecy* (1979) and *Dead Bang* (1989), together with television appearances in *The Twilight Zone* (1961), *Gunsmoke* (1961) and *Alfred Hitchcock Presents*. She was married to director John Frankenheimer from 1963 until his death in 2002, and appeared in several of his films.
