Ewan Stewart is a Scottish actor. He played Harris in Peter Greenaway's *The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover* (1989). Other film roles include First Officer Murdoch in *Titanic* (1997), Coll in *Rob Roy* (1995), Eirik in *Valhalla Rising* (2009) and the Colonel in *Florence Foster Jenkins* (2016). Television credits include Dr Robbie Meadows in *Only Fools and Horses* and Michael Hogarth in *Vera*.

Born in Glasgow, Stewart is the son of entertainer Andy Stewart. He was educated at Merchiston Castle School and moved to London in 1975, where he began working in theatre and studying drama. His first major television role was in the 1979 remake of *All Quiet on the Western Front*. He is married to actress Clare Byam-Shaw.
