Farren Blackburn is a British film and television director. He directed episodes of the series *Luther* (2010) and *Doctor Who* (2005), including the 2011 Christmas special 'The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe' and the 2013 episode 'The Rings of Akhaten'.

He directed *The Fades* (2011), for which he shared a BAFTA Award for Best Drama Series. His other credits include episodes of *Daredevil* (2015), *Iron Fist* (2017) and *The Defenders* (2017), and the feature films *Hammer of the Gods* (2013) and *Shut In* (2016). Blackburn was born in Lincolnshire, England, on 10 December 1968. He is married to actress Verona Joseph.
