Fatoumata Diawara is a Malian actress and singer-songwriter. Born on 21 February 1982 in Ouragahio, Ivory Coast, to Malian parents, she began her career in acting as a teenager.

She appeared in Cheick Oumar Sissoko's *La Genèse* (1999) and Dani Kouyaté's *Sia, le rêve du python* (2001). After moving to France, she performed with the street theatre troupe Royal de Luxe. Diawara played the role of the singer Fatou in Abderrahmane Sissako's *Timbuktu* (2014) and Gloria in *Yao* (2019). She has also provided voice work, including in *Tales of the Night* (2011).

Diawara has pursued a parallel career in music, releasing albums and collaborating with artists such as Gorillaz. She lives in France.
