Fay Wray was a Canadian-American actress. Born Vina Fay Wray on 15 September 1907 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada, she died on 8 August 2004 in New York City.

She began her career in minor film roles in the silent era and appeared in more than a dozen films for Paramount Pictures. After leaving the studio she took roles with other companies, including her first horror films. For RKO she starred as Ann Darrow in *King Kong* (1933). She continued working in film and television until her final role in 1980.
