## Biography

Felix Dexter (26 July 1961 – 18 October 2013) was a Saint Kitts-born British actor, comedian and writer. He moved with his family to Surrey, England, at the age of seven. After studying law at University College London and beginning training as a barrister, he turned to comedy, performing at venues including Jongleurs and The Comedy Store.

Dexter first gained prominence in the 1990s BBC sketch show *The Real McCoy*. He later appeared as a regular performer on *The Fast Show* and in series including *Absolutely Fabulous* (as John) and *Citizen Khan* (as Omar). His other credits include the 1998 BBC adaptation of *Vanity Fair* (as Samuel), *Jonathan Creek* and voice work in *Mongrels*.

He also wrote and starred in comedy pilots and performed stand-up. Dexter died in London aged 52.
