## Biography

Féodor Atkine is a French actor born on 27 February 1948 in Paris. Of Russian-Polish descent, he spent part of his childhood in Latin America before returning to France, where he trained at the École internationale de théâtre Jacques Lecoq and with Jean-Laurent Cochet.

He began performing in theatre in the late 1960s and made his film debut in 1972. His screen credits include *Love and Death* (1975) as Mikhail, *Pauline at the Beach* (1983) as Henri, and *Ronin* (1998) as Mikhi. He played the recurring role of Major Pierre Ducos in the British television series *Sharpe*.

Atkine is also a prolific voice actor, providing the French dub for Jafar in *Aladdin* (1992) and for Dr. Gregory House in *House, M.D.*. He was awarded the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2019.
