He was born on 16 May 1960 in Catania, Sicily, and raised in Augusta. He began his career working in tourist villages, first as a barman and later as an entertainer.

Fiorello has appeared in films including *The Talented Mr. Ripley* (1999) as Fausto and provided Italian voice dubbing for animated features such as *Anastasia* (1997) and the Garfield films.
