## Biography

Folke Sundquist (4 November 1925 – 13 January 2009) was a Swedish actor. He appeared in 21 films between 1951 and 1968.

He trained at the Göteborg City Theatre school in the mid-1940s and spent the greater part of his stage career at Malmö City Theatre from 1950 until 1983. His film breakthrough came in 1951 in *One Summer of Happiness*, directed by Arne Mattsson, after which he appeared in several further Swedish features of the 1950s.

Sundquist played Anders, one of the hitchhikers, in Ingmar Bergman's *Wild Strawberries* (1957) and had an uncredited role in Bergman's *Hour of the Wolf* (1968). He later worked as a volunteer in humanitarian aid in Greece.
