## Biography

Francesca Calvelli is an Italian film editor. She was born in 1962 in Rome and trained at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, studying under Roberto Perpignani.

Since 1994 she has been the regular editor for director Marco Bellocchio, to whom she is married. She has also edited films by Danis Tanović, Francesca Comencini and Saverio Costanzo. Her credits include *No Man's Land* (2001), *Vincere* (2009), *The Traitor* (2019), *My Brilliant Friend* (2018–2022) and *Kidnapped* (2023).

Calvelli has won three David di Donatello awards, four Ciak d'oro and six Nastri d'argento.
