## Biography

Francesca Gregorini is an Italian-American film and television director and screenwriter. Born in Rome on 7 August 1968, she graduated from Brown University with a degree in Theatre Arts. She sold scripts to HBO and Paramount Pictures before making her directorial debut with the feature *Tanner Hall* (2009), co-directed with Tatiana von Fürstenberg.

Her subsequent feature *The Truth About Emanuel* (2013) premiered in the US Dramatic Competition at Sundance. Gregorini has directed episodes of television series including *Humans* (2015), *Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams* (2017), *Killing Eve* (2019), *Chambers* (2019), *The Dropout* (2022), for which she received a Primetime Emmy nomination, *Based on a True Story* (2023) and *Clipped* (2024). She directed three episodes of the Netflix series *Vladimir* (2026).
