## Biography

Francine Parker (1925–2007) was an American film and television director and producer. She was the eleventh woman admitted to the Directors Guild of America in 1971.

Parker directed the 1972 documentary *F.T.A.*, which she also produced with Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland. The film documented the anti-Vietnam War FTA entertainment tour. She directed one episode of the series *Cagney & Lacey* in 1986.

She held a BA from Smith College and an MFA in theatre directing from Yale School of Drama. Parker taught film directing at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena for 18 years.
