## Biography

Franco Columbu, also credited as Francesco Columbu, was an Italian-American bodybuilder and actor. Born in Ollolai, Sardinia, Italy, he won the Mr Olympia title in 1976 and 1981. He appeared as himself in the 1977 bodybuilding documentary *Pumping Iron*.

Columbu had small acting roles in several films, notably as the Future Terminator in *The Terminator* (1984), a Pictish Scout in *Conan the Barbarian* (1982), and a 911 Security Officer in *The Running Man* (1987). He also had an uncredited role in *Predator* (1987). A longtime friend of Arnold Schwarzenegger, whom he met in 1965, he served as best man at Schwarzenegger’s 1986 wedding to Maria Shriver and trained Sylvester Stallone for *Rambo: First Blood Part II* (1985). He later worked as a chiropractor.
