## Biography

Franco Fraticelli (30 August 1928 – 26 April 2012) was an Italian film editor. Born and based in Rome, he amassed more than 150 credits over a career spanning several decades.

Fraticelli was Dario Argento's principal editor from the director's debut *The Bird with the Crystal Plumage* (1970) through *Opera* (1987), working on films including *Suspiria* (1977), *Deep Red* (1975), *Inferno* (1980) and *Tenebrae* (1982). He maintained a long collaboration with Lina Wertmüller, editing ten of her films from *Rita the Mosquito* (1966) to *A Joke of Destiny* (1983), notably *Seven Beauties* (1976). He also worked with Marco Risi on several projects and received a Kineo Award for his career in 2006.
