## Biography

François Emmanuelli is a French production designer and art director. He began working as a production designer in 1991 on *Les Arcandiers*, directed by Manuel Sanchez. He trained as a sculptor and model-maker after studying fine arts and applied arts.

Emmanuelli collaborated extensively with director Cédric Klapisch on films including *Le Péril jeune* (1994), *Chacun cherche son chat* (1996), *Un air de famille* (1996) and *The Spanish Apartment* (2002). He later worked with Jacques Audiard on *The Beat That My Heart Skipped* (2005) and with Thomas Bidegain on *Les Cowboys* (2015) and *Soudain seuls* (2023), the latter of which he described as his final film project. His credits also include *The Intouchables* (2011) and *Serial (Bad) Weddings* (2014). He received a César Award nomination for production design on *Peut-être* (1999).
