## Biography

Frank Clarke (31 December 1915 – September 2002) was a British film editor. Born in London, he began working in the film industry in the 1930s as an assistant editor and edited wartime documentaries including *Tunisian Victory* (1944) and *The True Glory* (1945).

He later joined MGM-British at Elstree Studios as a supervising editor, a role he held for nearly twenty years. His credits from this period include *Ivanhoe* (1952), *Mogambo* (1953), *Knights of the Round Table* (1953), *Tom Thumb* (1958), *The V.I.P.s* (1963), *The Yellow Rolls-Royce* (1964) and *Blow-Up* (1966, uncredited). He also edited earlier features such as *Spring in Park Lane* (1948).

Clarke taught at the London Film School after the closure of the Borehamwood studio.
