## Biography

Frank Gallacher (7 April 1943 – 23 February 2009) was a Scottish-Australian actor. Born in Glasgow, he emigrated to Australia in the early 1960s and became a long-standing member of the Melbourne Theatre Company, appearing in more than thirty productions including *King Lear*.

He worked extensively in Australian television from the 1970s onwards and in feature films. His credits include the role of the Vet in *Proof* (1991), Chief Inspector Stromboli in *Dark City* (1998), Alsation Fogarty in *Peter Pan* (2003) and Father Scully in *December Boys* (2007). He was married to actress Belinda Davey.
