## Biography

Frank Mazzola (1935–2015) was an American film editor and actor. Born in Los Angeles, he began his career as a child actor with uncredited roles in films including *The Hunchback of Notre Dame* (1939), *Casablanca* (1942) and *East of Eden* (1955). He appeared as the character Crunch in *Rebel Without a Cause* (1955) and later transitioned to film editing in the late 1960s.

Mazzola edited *Performance* (1970), *The Hired Hand* (1971), *Demon Seed* (1977) and other features. He collaborated closely with director Donald Cammell on several projects and completed a director’s cut of *Wild Side* (1995) after Cammell’s death. He also worked in the editorial department on *Hawaii* (1966).
