Frankie Avalon, born Francis Thomas Avallone, is an American actor and singer. He began his career as a teen idol in the late 1950s, achieving chart success with singles including "Venus" (1959) before transitioning to film and television roles.

Avalon appeared as Smitty in the 1960 western *The Alamo*. He is also known for his roles in the 1960s beach party film series alongside Annette Funicello and as Teen Angel in the 1978 musical *Grease*.
