## Biography

Franklin Dow is a British cinematographer and director of photography. He graduated with first-class honours in cinematography from the Art Institute in Bournemouth in 2005.

Dow is known for his documentary work, frequently collaborating with director Orlando von Einsiedel. His credits include *Virunga* (2014), for which he won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Cinematography; the Oscar-winning short *The White Helmets* (2016); *Evelyn* (2018); *We Dare to Dream* (2023); *The Lost Children* (2024); and *The Disciple* (2026). He has also shot drama, shorts and commercials, and has worked in 38 countries across six continents.
