František Velecký, also credited as Fero Velecký, was a Slovak actor. Born on 8 March 1934 in Zvolen, he trained in civil engineering and worked as a designer before turning to acting in the early 1960s without formal dramatic training. He appeared in more than fifty films from Slovak, Czech, Hungarian, German and Anglo-American productions, working as a freelance performer.

He is best known for his portrayal of Mikoláš, Kozlík’s son, in František Vláčil’s *Marketa Lazarová* (1967). Other notable roles include appearances in *Red Psalm* (1972), *The Brothers Grimm* (2005) as the Old Crone, and *Želary* (2003) as Old Kutina. He also served briefly as assistant director on *Zbehovia a pútnici* (1968). Velecký died of cancer on 5 October 2003 in Bratislava.
