Fred Baker (1932–2011) was an American actor, producer, director and writer. He was born in Los Angeles, California, and died in New York City.

Baker appeared as the Police Commander in George A. Romero's *Dawn of the Dead* (1978). His other acting credits include an uncredited role as an airport clerk in *Affair in Trinidad* (1952) and the druggist in *Working Girls* (1986). He also worked extensively behind the camera, producing and directing films such as *Lenny Bruce: Without Tears* (1972) and *Assata aka Joanne Chesimard* (2008), and directing episodes of the television series *Jazzmasters* (1988–1989).
