## Biography

Fred Einesman is a physician and television director, writer and producer. A Montreal native, he trained at McGill University Faculty of Medicine and completed a residency and fellowship in emergency medicine at UCLA. He also holds an MFA in film production from the University of Southern California.

Einesman served as medical supervisor on the series *ER* (1994) from 1995 to 2007 and directed one episode. He has directed episodes of *7th Heaven* (1996) and worked as a writer, story editor and producer on *Private Practice* (2007) and *Grey's Anatomy*. He has provided medical advice on numerous films and television productions.
