Frédéric Andréi is a French actor and director. Born on 23 October 1959 in Paris, he is the son of television director Yannick Andréi. He began his acting career in 1978, appearing in films directed by Yves Boisset and Michel Deville.

His breakthrough came with the lead role of Jules, a young postman, in Jean-Jacques Beineix's *Diva* (1981). He has continued to act in French cinema and television, with later credits including *Venus Beauty Institute* (1999) and *The Sticky Side of Baklava* (2020). Andréi has also directed feature films such as *Paris minuit* (1986) and *Par suite d'un arrêt de travail...* (2008), as well as numerous documentaries.
