Frederick Leister (1885–1970) was an English actor. Born Frederick Charles Holloway in London, he trained briefly as a solicitor before making his stage debut in 1906 in the chorus of the musical comedy *A Country Girl*. After serving as a lieutenant in the Royal Garrison Artillery during the First World War, he established himself in West End character roles in both modern plays and classic drama.

Leister appeared in more than sixty films from 1922 to 1961, frequently portraying authority figures such as judges, officers and headmasters. His screen credits include Marsham in *Goodbye, Mr. Chips* (1939), roles in *The Crimson Pirate* (1952), *The Dam Busters* (1955), *Footsteps in the Fog* (1955) and an uncredited part in *Around the World in 80 Days* (1956).
