## Biography

Gabriel Migliori was a Brazilian composer, pianist and conductor. Born in São Paulo, he studied with Savino de Benedicts, Armando Pugliesi and Agostino Cantú.

He worked in radio, theatre, cinema and television, serving as principal conductor of the orchestras at Rádio Record and later TV Record. Migliori composed scores for many films, including *O Cangaceiro* (1953), which earned him a special mention at the Cannes Film Festival, and *The Given Word* (1962, original title *O Pagador de Promessas*), for which he won the Best Musical Score award at the San Francisco International Film Festival.
