## Biography

Gale Tattersall is an English cinematographer. Born in 1948, he trained at the London Film School after beginning as a photographer at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. He received a British Film Institute grant for his early short film *Value For Money*.

Tattersall's feature credits include *The Commitments* (1991), *Tank Girl* (1995), *Virtuosity* (1995), *Pushing Tin* (1999), *Thir13en Ghosts* (2001) and *Ghost Ship* (2002). He served as director of photography on 120 episodes of the series *House* (2004–2012) and on *Grace and Frankie* (2015–2022). He received a Primetime Emmy nomination for *From the Earth to the Moon* (1998) and two American Society of Cinematographers Award nominations for episodes of *House*.
