Garcelle Beauvais is a Haitian-American actress and former model. She was born on 26 November 1966 in Saint-Marc, Haiti, and moved to the United States at the age of seven.

Beauvais began her career as a model before transitioning to acting in the 1980s. She appeared in *Coming to America* (1988) and gained prominence with recurring roles in *The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air* and a main role as Francesca "Fancy" Monroe in *The Jamie Foxx Show* (1996–2001). She later played Assistant District Attorney Valerie Heywood in *NYPD Blue* (2001–2004).
