## Biography

Gareth Williams is an American actor. He gained his Equity card in 1981 in a production of Little Mary Sunshine at the Burt Reynolds Theatre in Florida and later studied with Uta Hagen at HB Studios in New York for six years. He was a founding member of the Naked Angels Theatre Company.

Williams has appeared in numerous television series, including as Mickey Gosney in *Terriers* (2010), DEA Supervising Agent Maloney in *The Mentalist* (2008), Police Chief Warren in *True Detective* (2014), Tim Harrison in *Criminal Minds* (2005), Steven Rawlings in *Yellowstone* (2018), Chief Redding in *Mindhunter* (2017), Wesley Grovner in *Castle* (2009), Alan Pollard in *Hawaii Five-0* (2010) and roles in *Malcolm X* (1992) and *The Cell* (2000).
