## Biography

Garrett Lerner is an American television writer and producer. He frequently collaborates with writing partner Russel Friend. His career began with the CBS series *Martial Law*, after which he wrote and produced episodes of *FreakyLinks*, *Roswell*, *John Doe*, *Boston Public*, *LAX* and *Smallville*.

In 2005, Lerner and Friend joined the writing staff of *House*, contributing multiple episodes including the season two premiere "Acceptance". Lerner became an executive producer from the fourth season onwards. He co-wrote the *Glee* episode "Guilty Pleasures" with Friend. Lerner received a Writers Guild of America Award in 2010 for the *House* episode "Broken" and multiple Primetime Emmy nominations for his producing work on the series. His other credits include *The Good Doctor*, *Altered Carbon*, *Repo Men* and *Kaleidoscope*.
