## Biography

Garry Goodrow (1933–2014) was an American actor. Born in Malone, New York, he began his career in theatre as a member of the Living Theatre and appeared in the original stage production of the Obie Award-winning play *The Connection* (1959) and its 1961 film adaptation, playing Ernie.

He was a founding member of the San Francisco satirical improvisational group The Committee. Goodrow went on to more than 50 screen appearances, including roles in *Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice* (1969), *Invasion of the Body Snatchers* (1978), *Escape from Alcatraz* (1979), *Eating Raoul* (1982) as a drunk swinger, *Breathless* (1983), *Dirty Dancing* (1987) as Moe Pressman, and *Honey, I Blew Up the Kid* (1992). He also wrote for film and television.

Goodrow died on 22 July 2014 in New Jersey, aged 80.
