## Biography

Gary Holton (22 September 1952 – 25 October 1985) was an English actor and musician. He played Wayne Norris in the television series *Auf Wiedersehen, Pet* (1983–1985) and appeared uncredited as an aggressive rocker in the film *Quadrophenia* (1979).

Holton was the frontman of the band Heavy Metal Kids from 1972 to 1977 and later worked with Casino Steel. He had earlier stage experience with the Royal Shakespeare Company and other theatre companies. He died in London from an overdose of morphine and alcohol.
