## Biography

Gary Morton (born Morton Gary Goldaper) was an American comedian, actor and producer. He began as a stand-up comedian working hotels and resorts in the Borscht Belt of upstate New York.

Morton appeared in bit parts on *The Lucy Show* (1962) and other series associated with Lucille Ball, whom he married in 1961. He served as executive producer on *Here's Lucy* (1968–1974) and co-executive producer on *Life with Lucy* (1986). His film acting credits include the role of Sherman Hart in *Lenny* (1974) and Marty Wiener in *Postcards from the Edge* (1990). Morton died in 1999.
