## Biography

Gary Whitta is a British screenwriter, author and former video game journalist. He began his career contributing to magazines including ACE and helped found PC Gamer, later serving as editor-in-chief of both the UK and US editions.

Whitta wrote the screenplay for *The Book of Eli* (2010). He co-wrote the screenplay for *After Earth* (2013) with M. Night Shyamalan, from a story by Will Smith, and co-developed the story for *Rogue One: A Star Wars Story* (2016). He has also written episodes of *Star Wars Rebels* (2014–2018).
