## Biography

Geary McLeod is an American director and cinematographer. Born in Boston, he worked in camera departments on feature films before serving as director of photography on the CBS series *The Mentalist* for its first six seasons. He also directed five episodes of the series, including part one of the two-part finale.

McLeod has directed episodes of many episodic series, including five of *Grey's Anatomy* (2015–2019), as well as *Empire*, *NCIS: New Orleans*, *Bull*, *DC's Stargirl*, *The Resident* and others. He is a member of the Directors Guild of America, the American Society of Cinematographers and IATSE Local 600, and serves on the Directors Guild African American Steering Committee.
