## Biography

Gene Corman was an American film producer and agent. The younger brother of filmmaker Roger Corman, he entered the industry as an agent at MCA before moving into production in the late 1950s.

He produced numerous films with his brother, including *Night of the Blood Beast* (1958), *Beast from Haunted Cave* (1959) and *Attack of the Giant Leeches* (1959). The brothers co-founded Filmgroup in 1959 and New World Pictures in 1970. Corman also produced *Tobruk* (1967), served as executive producer on *F.I.S.T.* (1978) and produced *The Big Red One* (1980). He received a Primetime Emmy Award for the television film *A Woman Called Golda* (1982). He later became vice-president of 20th Century Fox Television.
