## Biography

Gene Hong is an American television writer and producer. He grew up in the Pittsburgh area of Pennsylvania, graduated from North Allegheny High School in Wexford and from Allegheny College in Meadville.

Hong began writing for sitcoms, including an episode of *Community* (2009). He later wrote for *Bones* (2005), *Lethal Weapon* (2016) and *Magnum, P.I.* (2018), serving as writer and producer on several of these series. He also wrote an episode of *Beef* (2023). Earlier in his career he appeared as an original cast member on the MTV series *Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'n Out*.
